If this is a gaming build, get rid of the watercooler and get a cheaper air cooler

Don't get a SSHD it's a waste of money just get a HDD and SSD

Just save money on 8GB of RAM

Don't get that PSU get something like a XFX TS 550W

Try to fit a 970 in it if not get a R9 380 4GB

                                                                                                                 Setup

if this is gonna be used for gaming get a cheap 30$ air cooler and drop to 8GB of RAM and get a better PSU and a GTX970 or R9 390.

Is the 380 just as good as the 970?

No the 970 is better I'm saying try to fit a 970 into the budget but if you can't then get a 380 but actually thinking about it if you can't get a 970 then get a 290 which is the next best thing then it's the 380

Is £779 a decent price for the 970 as well?

Would the Intel standard cooler be fine?

yeah it's perfectly fine for locked CPUs (basically Intel CPU that don't have 'K' at the end)

But the cpu I thought was decent was the 4690K..

Are you overclocking? If not then the CPU is pointless and you should look for the cheapest haswell i5
