Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014

seiny

Been considering getting this, is it any good? Should I look at something else? in a similar price range.

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

I love my 2013 edition. I think in 2014 they went with their own switches, so I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. My model has Cherry MX Blue switches, and I absolutely love them.

I have it and I do enjoy it.

The only thing I hate about it is how loud it is. I know it's basically blue switches and it's what I wanted but after having it, I hate it.

Tbh if I was buying another keyboard I'd look elsewhere and avoid Razer in all circumstances (unless you're buying the Deathadder).

The green switches they use aren't bad at all. I love them. Would love some Cherry MX Browns at some point

I like my keyboard being loud. I'm a bit odd I guess

Get a Corsair K65 RGB :) I think that's a cheaper option and it's tenkeyless! Saves space and money. Plus, it's pretty sturdy and the font of the keys aren't ugly. Razers have weird fonts imo...

It's not being odd, each have their own preference. I too thought I'd enjoy the loud clicky sound but turns out I don't.

Have you done your research on mechanical switches? If not, check this.

I'd avoid Kailh switches at that price point. If you want a keyboard with good features and similar to the BlackWidow, I'd suggest Logitech G710.

For keyoards there are cheaper ones like SS Corsair and Logitech which are probably better that an expensive Razer one.

I don't actually give useful information, hopefully I just  say something funny.

I own it. No. Do not get it. Look into a Ducky Shine or dare I say it Corsair... I don't like Corsair but anything is better then Razer.

Agreed. It is like some "gamer" font.
