hay guys i just installed two gtx 970s and im hooking it up to power, it has two six pin slots but my psu only has 1 6 pin for each and i just fill 6 out of the 12 pins for power thanks for the help

You need to populate all of the power connectors on each GPU.

What is the question? 

 

If it's "can I just use one 6 pin on each card?" then the answer is no. You need to plug in all power connectors on the cards.

get a 6 pin to molex adapter

Higher frame rate over higher resolution.
