Hello,

My brother is looking for a laptop. His budget is around $1000.00 US dollars. His main games he plays are StarCraft 2, WOW, and League of legends. Nothing to fancy at this time. But in case he wanted to play other types of newer games at low graphic settings. What is a good brand to go with? I was checking newegg.com, but there were so many variables and factors. I decided to come here for help. His use is for casual gaming and then just normal PC uses. Such as using Microsoft office and streaming and internet browsing. Nothing super fancy.

Thank you for your assistance!

Peebis!

I have a Lenovo Y40-70 which I bought for $800 Canadian last year.  It holds up very well in the games you listed, and is a great all-around laptop.

I just got a lenovo y40 on monday. not a bad laptop if you can get it on sale. only thing is that the gpu is a bit weak. other than that and the TN screen it's a pretty good buy

The GPU isn't super weak.  I got it to run Battlefield 4 at 1080p, 60fps.

My y40-80 only does 70fps maxed out on lol. You're sure you don't have the y50? cause my card struggled to get 30 fps on heaven bm on 720p.

Nah I have the Y40-70.  I get around 120fps average on LoL, not quite maxed out.  I have shadows disabled (I just don't like them) and AA is disabled as well (never really cared for it)
