Using sharpie for psu cables?

So I have white build that I'm working on, but the psu cables are multi colored. When I bought the psu, I thought theere were only black cables, but apparently not... And they look hideous lol.

Would using a sharpie cause any problems like melting or cracking? Ive read vinyl is a good alternative, but I've already spent quite a bit on this build already.

Nope. It will rub off though, sharpie doesn't like the plastic used in cables. My suggestion is plastidip it, but since plastidip can insulate, my top teir rec would be a vinyl paint, since it goes on super super thin and doesn't insulate.

What PSU is it? And iirc a sharpie shouldn't do anything to the integrity of the cables themselves.

So basically it won't do any harm. Got it. I'll just use the vinyl if it doesn't look good enough.

So.... The sharpie was a horrible idea. I ended up wraping the cables up in black electrical tape. Actually looks pretty good as long as you don't look too closely into the wires.
