What I want to know is why is there one seller being featured on amazon but there are other cheaper ones?

What's the DEAL?!

Amazon doesn't set the prices for items they stock and ship for sellers.

 

They simply charge a stocking and other fees to them.

 

Kinda like Steam and games.

Because Amazon is in possession of the featured items. The order is fulfilled by them, and your interactions are with Amazon. The cheaper items are fulfilled by independent retailers and only purchased through Amazon.

From what I can tell from this page http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B005CNR7B0/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1376280081&sr=1-1. It's the lowest cost highly rated seller ascending. Below that is the lowest cost lowly rated sellers ascending. Whether it's affiliated with Amazon or not also comes into consideration.

 

So Amazon puts higher rated sellers before everyone else so the customers have a better online buying experience.

Because it's stocked and shipped by Amazon and has free 2-day shipping with Prime.

 

Amazon makes more money and they promote their services at the same time.
