I think the reason is the 24 pin connector, it is a little bit tilted, no matter which psu i use, when i plug the connector in, one side end is pointing out, if i go fix that the other side pops out a little bit, tho the computer still works, until i experience shutdowns today, idk if it has something to do with the problem, the motherboard is msi z97 gaming 5

@hoyamons

Could be a short. Need a bit more info.

Is the computer you're having issues with, the one listed in your profile?
Which other PSU did you try? (and what were their rated wattage, since you do say "no matter which psu i use" implying more than one)

When does the "random shutdown" generally happens? While IDLE and browsing the web or while playing a game?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Bazzite

while playing games, i used cx 750m, now i use g series 500w, tho the problem never showed itself until today

Is it an actual shutdown, a reboot or bluescreen? (because there's a difference in what can be the cause)

Can you check your temperatures, for both IDLE and while you're playing a game, until the moment it shutdowns/reboot. (using HWmonitor or your software of choice, for both CPU and GPU)

The system in your profile should use up to 350W~400W at max load, so I doubt it's an actual wattage issue, since the 750m has a 744W on the 12v. Though the 500W one will be a bit borderline, especially when you take in consideration PSU degradation over time.

a reboot

Could be a temperature issue then.

What are your temps while under load? If it's anything above 75˚C for the CPU or 90˚C for the GPU, there's a problem.

cpu i am not sure but the gpu is constantly around 50-60 degrees

At idle?

That's not really good. It means that when under load, it will go up high, quickly.

Use HWmonitor to check the temperatures. Put a game in Windowed mode so you can check the temperatures before it reboots.

(No installation required, just extract and launch it)
