Hello , So when I built my PC I decided to install Windows 10 Pro to test how it works so I created a Windows 10 USB drive using the Media creation tool and at installation it asked me for a product key but I just skipped. Now when I connected to the internet and added my Microsoft account, it got activated 0.0 I don't even know how.  It doesn't show any timer or anything ... It says "Windows is activated". Is this normal? I've kept it for a few days and downloaded/installed all available updates and it still says "Windows is activated" Here's something that might help: I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro (bought from a store , legit boxed version) on my laptop that has Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed when Windows 8 came out so do I get 2 free upgrades? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!

Maybe you somehow have your windows key linked to your account.
