Experiences with OpenOffice

So this evening, I got so angry with OpenOffice that I plain bought Microsoft Office.

Yes, to insert a page break, all you need to press is Ctrl+Enter but I reckon there should be a button for it. Niggles like this meant that I bit the bullet and spent big dolla on Office 365.

Have you guys had any experiences with OpenOffice that you'd care to share (sharing is caring)?

It's all the same unintuitive thing. I cannot stand it.

libreoffice is really nice for free office

and easily good enough for 90% of people

I used open office in middle school but got tired of fighting it. Luckily my mom bought a license for 3 computers before I got to high school. Now I have 365 through college for free. I plan on loading up on windows and office licenses with my discount through school before the end of my senior year.

I completely agree.

And realistically, is MS office really that expensive? For a software you will use year after year literally all the time, 100-140 bucks isn't exactly an arm and a leg to pay for.
