Onboard sound replacement?

Hi Guys,

 

My motherboard is the Z87-HD3, and i realised how crap the onboard sound is! Even the amp/dac on my Moto G 2nd gen is better!

Can someone find me a replacement? At a reasonable price? Under £40.

 

I have the Edirol FA-101. and am thinking of getting a pci firewire card for it, would that be a good option? Or should i get something else?

 

If someone could suggest a decent pair of speakers for a similar price, overall good sounding, but i like a fair bit of bass.

I have my speakers plugged in to the back ports, but when I try my earphones (Xiaomi Piston 2) I plug em in at the front. I'm not sure about HD audio or ac97

How bad is your audio. In what way? 

 

Tbh I know a bit about audio, so I wouldn't know. I know those Audio Technica are good because I've use them before.

My phone sounds clearer, playing the same song, and if i try and use an eq on the pc, pushing the 31hz band, does nothing, but on the phone, it has an effect

It's helped some people with these problems before. As for how, this is a tech forum, I'm sure there are threads about it, or a video from our Deer Lord, Linus.

Get a firewire card for your Edirol FA-101 then or get and external DAC
