Project Chili 2.0

So Friday morning I received a package from EK...

parts

CPUblock

GPUblock

So the full list of parts I had ordered:

EK-Supremacy EVO - Nickel

EK-FC980 GTX Nickel (Original CSQ)

EK-FC980 GTX Backplate - Black

EK-ACF Fitting 10/13mm Elox Black x10

EK-CoolStream SE 240 (Slim Dual)

EK-Ekoolant EVO Clear (premix 1L) x2

PrimoChill 10/13 Clear tubing (2m)

EK-XRES 140 D5 Vario (incl. pump)

So I overlooked a couple things when I placed my initial order:

1. I wouldn't have the new case for quite a while.

2. 2 meters of tubing might be enough, but I should have ordered more

3. I had no way of mounting the pump/res combo

4. I have no distilled water to flush my parts and that Ekoolant is too expensive for that.

5. If i put a radiator in the front of the Arc Mini R2, I can't mount my hard drives

6. I didn't order a valve to drain the loop

So first off, I ordered some more parts: A pump holder for the pump/res, some more tubing, a valve and a few more fittings, and a new set of Corsair SP120 fans (quiet edition pwm).

I was over at my parents' house for the weekend so I drilled some new mounting holes for the hard drive cage. This is how it sits in the case. There is enough room to mount the radiator, I just have it out for the pictures above. Yeah, I know that one screw is on the fan grill, but it's not visible unless you tip the case over.

Now I'm just waiting for the new parts. I'll have some more pictures for you next week when I start installing the water blocks and such. Still need to get that distilled water, though.
