I'm saving to build a computer, and i was wondering if i bought a 600w corasir modular psu, would i be able to buy different cables for it and still function properly?

If it is thick enough gauge and use the same pinout, sure. I'm not guaranteeing anything though.

What sort of cables would you be using? The answer is no. I think they are proprietary in the end that goes into the PSU

I doubt it would, most manufacturers have different pin outs and gauges.

Most power supplies have different style  plugs on the power supply then the cables are slightly different.

the psu would be the Corsair Builder Series 600w Modular

 

and the cables would be Corsair Professional Series HX Enthusiast Series
