Looking at the 280x and 380 as a new build gpu for gaming. I've done some research and the 280x usually performs a bit better than the 380 but the 380 is newer with more vram. Both the 280x and 380 are about the same price, and I'm leaning towards the 380 because of things like freesync, newer, more vram, and other things. The main game I play is wow, and I would be looking to crossfire with another one of those cards or something like a 390 if that works. Please give some imput maybe a link to read. Thanks guys!

380.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

1080p

Well, I think the 280x has enough vram for 1080p  and if it outperforms the 380 in some cases I would get that personally but if you want dx 12 and stuff..try and find the cheapest of each and see how it goes, save a few bucks and get something like a fan maybe?
