Helping someone with a computer problem remotely?

CC268

Hey guys,

I am going to be sending my nephew my Alienware M14X so he has a laptop for college and I would like to be able to help him with computer problems remotely if need be (I am not sure how tech savy he is and I am in Arizona while he is in Texas). Is there a program for this or something you guys recommend?

This laptop is on Windows 10.

Yes! Teamviewer! Best thing is, it's free for non-commercial goals!

So you can use it as much as you want and it's perfectly legal for you :)

If you want to make it easy to get it going, go to ninite.com and download one with only teamviewer in it.

Send him that, and the only thing he needs to do is run the ninite exe and give you the id and password when it's installed.

That's about as easy as it will get.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Good! If you want you can configure it with a password you choose, so if he needs help, he only needs to open it and that's it. You know the id and password so you can connect right away. Default config is that password changes every time teamviewer runs :P
