Not sure where your location is but if you are good at hunting for prices, you can find a HD 7950 for around that price. 

 

You can wait for the AMD HD 9000 series and see if they release a GPU around that price.

There will always be something around the corner that is about to be released, and if you spend all your time waiting you'll never upgrade. Just go for a 7950

The 7950 is probably as good as it gets for $220, the $200 9000-series equivalent should perform similarly so there's no need to wait
