Cannot convert MBR to GPT

I'm trying to install windows 10 into my SSD as a boot drive but it is registered as a MBR and I need to convert it to a GPT in order to install windows 10 however using the command, whenever I try to convert it I get this error

"Virtual disk service error"

"The specified disk is not convertable. CDROMs and DVDs are examples of disks that are not convertable"

I did this not long ago with a similar SSD and had no issues.

Did the clean and it successfully converted, however no I did not partition it and have already started installing windows on it, is this a problem?

no but partitioning would cause issues when converting.
