Upcoming Build - TrinityModz - Case Mod X99 Custom Loop

Hey guys so I am relatively new to the forums. Been lurking around for the last few weeks checking out build logs n such. Little background on me, I have been building computers since I was roughly 7 y/o. I love building. For some people it is modding their car and adding turbos and body kits, etc, and for me its building my own PC. I have not ever taken the time to really make my PC a true masterpiece. In my last build I didn't even have time to properly cable manage it because I was in dire need of a computer. (Pictures not provided out of embarrassment). I have been watching PC modding for quite some time, but never had the money or time to do it.

 

Fast forward to now, I am planning a new build that is yet to be named. It is going to be an X99 build. I am currently taking my CAD's that I put together (with no experience so they are decent I would say) with all the details to some companies to see if I can grab some sponsors before getting started. My current color scheme ideas are between White Red and Grey, or Green Yellow and White. I would love to get some votes on it. I can't say exactly when this build is going to start as I am still rounding out my fund building for it. I understand this is early in the process but hey that's what this section is for! I really hope that you guys will enjoy the ride with me as it narrows down and the build begins.

 

My budget as of this moment is rougly $1600.

This build will be used for Graphic/Web Design, Computer Mod Portfolio (heh), and gaming time to time (CS:GO, LoL, Hearthstone)

Have 1 monitor as of now, but with the right price I will add some budget to grab a second one. It is running a simple 1920x1080.

No need for peripherals and I am upgrading because I am tired of being on a laptop at home and my old PC as great as it is, is being sold to my brother-in-law because I want something new.

Hey everyone, emails will go out this week/early next week to some companies to gain sponsorship. Thanks for the votes so far and please keep voting! I will do everything in my power to not sellout my color scheme to sponsors.

 

I will be putting together a rough estimate of parts, but parts will change or be added depending on sponsorship. Please ask any questions you may have or give me feedback on my post. I would love to hear what you guys think of this plan.

 

To provide more information on why I am doing an X99 build is because I want to have a board that will make a smooth transition up to the Broadwell-e processors that are planned to come out beginning of next year. In the many leaks I have read about it, the broadwell-e's will be using the X99 board as well and it leaves me the opportunity to leave my processor mostly open-ended throughout the build until I begin to reach the end of the build as I know it will take multiple months so I may make it to the Broadwell-e launch.

 

Will update with any sponsors or to link over to the build log if I end up jumping over to beginning the build!

This looks epic. I'd say the green, yellow and white simply because red, grey and white are colours that get overused so much (I do still love them though ) and the former can come out very well I'd say. Good luck!

thanks a bunch! That is what I was thinking. I just love the look of red, grey, white. However, thinking about some more unique colors I am starting to lean heavily towards the green, yellow, and white.
