So earlier this month i got a MSI motherboard that has a 3.0 PCI-E and a 2.0 PCI-E and i was wondering if i could SLI on the 2 slots, i have 750 Watts on the PSU and looking to upgrade that is the only part that is kinda lacking, i have a 660Ti 2GB from asus.

MSI Z77A-G41

You can't sli on that motherboard. Sli requires Pci-e 2.0 x8 or higher. The second slot is Pci-e x4.

Btw, if you have a 660 Ti and want to upgrade I recommend getting a 7950/7970 and selling your 660 Ti.

crossfire support so sli... same, but not sure 100%

It doesn't work that way. Apparently you need 2 Pci-e 2.0 slots running at x8 or higher to be 'sli ready'.

yea i'm kinda on the edge for AMD, nothing against them but i like some of the features that Nvidia has over AMD and how they are optimized to Nvidia cards

 

*EDIT* mostly i don't want to drop $500 on a new card when i can get a secondary for 250 or so getting a good sale on newegg

The 7950/7970's are dropping in price quite a fair bit.
