I have been throwing cash into this computer since June and I think it is turning out well.

Here's the specs. (Tell me if I forget anything.)

Case: CM Storm Scout II Advanced

CPU: i5 3570k @stock

Heatsink: Stock <--- Upgrading that soon.

Mobo: MSI z77a-G45 Gaming

RAM: 8Gb Crucial Ballistix

GPU: Gtx 760 MSI Gaming edition

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7200 rpm

SSD: Coming soon.

PSU: Diablotek UL Series 575w

I feel like I am forgetting something...

The red LEDs kind of drown everything out, I think I should've gotten White instead... Oh well  ^_^

My new mouse pad hangs off of the desk by about 6 inches... Good thing I am getting a new desk soon. :D

Heres the glamour shots:

Thanks for checking it out! Any updates that I make will most likely be minor.

May I ask, why that PSU?

Probably because it's cheap and will die in 1-1.5 years.

The picture exaggerates it a little.

I told you I forgot something!

Yeah I know... It's on my list of things to do along with the heatsink and SSD.

Why the sleeved cables yet you're still using the stock cooler. And another thing you only have one DIMM installed, you realise memory is dual channel, what you've done by only using a single DIMM is halved the bandwidth from the RAM to the CPU. Personally i don't think you did enough research before building this computer, you've spent money in the wrong places

1. I am not overclocking, the heatsink is last thing I will be purchasing. 2. The RAM came with the motherboard and I am not complaining.  I know what Dual channel is and I don't need 16gb of RAM. I would rather have 1x8Gbs of ~FREE~ RAM than 2x4Gbs of not free RAM.

Thing is you have halved the bandwidth to the CPU. BANDWIDTH not CAPACITY so you have less data travelling to the CPU, if you had 2GB of RAM but 2 DIMM's you would have better performance until you used the full capacity. and also the heatsink simply looks bad, its not a matter of temperatures or OC'ing, if you've sleeved the cables you obviously care about aesthetics

I know what dual channel is... I am using one DIMM because I got it for free. Don't comment on other people's builds without knowing what the situation actually is. Instead of saying, "You did this wrong and this wrong!". Maybe ask, "Why did you only get 1x8gb stick of RAM?" and I would reply, "Because I got it for free."

Glad to see that that stock cooler will be going soon. If you feel like toning down those LED's you could solder some resistors in. That would dim them down a bit.

Maybe so, but for literally 10 bucks you can buy some RAM and improve your system performance, you must have spent more on the cable sleeving, and cable sleeving doesn't improve performance

The sleeving was $20.

RAM = $80

$20 + $10 = $30

$30 =/= $80

I'm not trying to be rude or offensive i'm simply stating that in my opinion you could drastically improve your build by doing the above ^

Where can I buy $30 RAM? Please tell me and I will be happy to follow your advice.

I think red Corsair DIMMS look good in your pc, lot cheaper too.

Again, got the RAM for free otherwise I would have Vengeance Pro's in there.

So if you didn't get the RAM for free you would have bought some of the most expensive RAM on the market, i am not following your logic
