Odd MS Word Issue

I have MS Office 2010, and every time I open Word, it opens in the weirdest way possible (shown in the picture).  Anyone have an idea how to fix this? Like, maybe change the default screen orientation on launch or something?  Thanks

If you resize it to the dimensions you like, and close the program and reopen it should automatically open like that next time it usually saves the last orientation you had it when used previously.

I've tried that but it still opens the same way, oddly enough

When you resize it make sure your not snapping it to half screen or full screen, if you just resize to say a square it should default to a square after closing and reopening.

Make sure it isn't touching any of the sides etc so it's actually floating on your screen then close it, once you reopen it should be as you left it, then if you maximize it then close it again it should fix this issue. Can't remember which program used to do this to me but it really pissed me off until I did as I just suggested.
