Should I wait for prices to go down or should I just wait until the newest graphics card comes out?

DawudSpeaks

I have an Intel Core i7 4790K 32 gigs of ddr3 1866 and the ASUS Maximus 7 Formula. I want to get a really good graphics card so I'm thinking about getting the EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified but I know once I get that card a new one will come out so should I wait for the new card or until prices come down?

There will always be something new just around the corner and the next gens of both Nvidia and AMD are quite far away still. Just get the 980Ti

thing is, for NVidia, when the next series come sout the previous serries stops getting manufactured, so the GTX 780 is no longer being made. this tends to make the INCREASE in price.

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

How immediately do you need to get a GPU? If you can wait I say wait, but it really depends on how much you need the upgrade.

I'm actually building a new computer with those previously mentioned components so I'm not in a big hurry I just want to get a nice video card and I'm not too much worried about money anymore because I'll just save starting now until the new card comes out or something I really want.
