Yes, 7zip supports AES-256 encryption.

Just zip it (huehue) with WinRAR and set a password for that file?

how do you set a password ? I need to be able to send that file

 

Menu>file>set password>encrypt file names>???>profit

 

It needs to be a .RAR file though.

You can't.

AES-256 is the standard encryption method used by almost everyone these days. Its strength is obviously linked to the length of the key, which can be up to 256 bits long. There would be 2256 possible combinations.
