Cortana on Windows 10 is NOT like Siri?!

LukeS

I don't know if this is the correct spot to put this, but I have a few questions on "Cortana" from Windows 10/ Windows phones:

1) Why does Cortana have a pop up window in "Microsoft Edge" instead of using it's own window to show you the answer to your question

2) Why can't Cortana focus mainly on my voice like Siri? I was in a noisy room today, and was trying to ask a question. Instead of focusing only on my voice, she inputed every word said in the room. Why can't Microsoft just recognize my voice and use it?

3) What is the big deal of this "Breach on Privacy" with Cortana? Is it any of my concern?

Thanks. Again, it's been less than 24 hours of me making my account, so I'd rather not have everyone yell at me for putting this in the wrong spot (if it is). I was just curious. Thanks!

#3, Cortana is ALWAYS listening, hence it picking up background noise

#2, I can't answer that because I didn't develop Cortana AND Siri wasn't made to spy so as much as Cortana

#1 You can disable that, its like "Search Assist in the settings"

1. Cortana is web-based (correct me if I am wrong)

2. Apple had longer with siri had Microsoft and Cortana so some of what you are looking for may come out in the future.
