well.. theres a red dot on my monitor...

Firearm2112

So I have this very small red dot on my monitor. I believe it is a... dead pixel. It never moves, and its very small.

Any thing I can try to "undead" the pixel? Its not massively noticeable, but now that I know its there im always looking at it,

thanks

if it is a dead pixel youre out of luck, unless you have "pixel warranty" (some companies have them)

there are software for it and even youtube videos. Try googling. If you're feeling very brave, you can flick it or use something like a tooth pick to try and push it. Since it's lit, it's fixable. Technically it's a stuck pixel, not dead.

red dot is a bright pixel i believe, dead pixel would be simply be black & may or maynot go away as time goes by, the usual fixes you can find on the internet usually will not work, it will depend on your luck for the most part

you can try tapping it, sometimes it will fix itself.

if its "dead" no, its dead jim. if its "stuck" poke it or look up a youtube video for it.  flashes a bunch of colours for a few hours and it might work.(epilepsy warning)
