ASUS or Dell?

Go to solution Solved by o0Martin,

So this was suggested by a forum member for me: http://uk.pcpartpick...-monitor-ve247h But then another person suggested a http://www.cclonline...onitor/MON1189/

I'd like to be able to play at 1920x1080 without receiving any glare; or input delay; Which is better for gaming?

Thanks!

Well the Dell is a glossy screen, and the Asus is matte, so as far as 'glare' from the sun goes, the Asus will have less.

BUT I wouldn't recommend getting the Asus, 100% not, you should go for an IPS Panel display.

If glare is going to be an issue for you from direct sunlight or w/e, then maybe look for a different IPS Panel display with a anti glare, or semi matte/matte coating.

IPS panel will make everything look a lot better.

Even if it compromises for a 7MS response?

TN = more responsive

IPS= better colours and viewing angles

People say TN is bad but in a central monitor position it's perfectly fine but unless you're going for higher refresh rates I would get a good IPS.

If you play FPS a lot I would get TN

I play Planetside 2, but not really any others; I can't see 7MS being too big of a problem. ^^
