So I recently installed a bios update from Gigabyte's website and downloaded it. Installed it no problem (first time updating bios on a custom build so I was a little worried)

I built the pc on February 14 2014. But I would think a year is fairly short in the life of a pc.

Since I updated the bios, my pc seems to shut down at random times. It normally happens on small workload situations but I can never duplicate the situation. When I boot my pc back up, the fans run much more than before it turned off. They stay that way for about 2 minutes and then calm back down. I clean out my pc regularly so I don't think it would be dust. It's not like my pc goes over 35 Celsius in these low workload conditions. Sometimes it's 10 minutes and it'll shutdown. sometimes 30 or not at all. I've noticed it only happens when I'm watching youtube or leaving it idle, but it's not my pc going to sleep.

In case it's a power issue, here's everything about my setup

I have a gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 rev.4.0 motherboard. I have a 700w psu and a Windforce gtx 770 that takes up 450w. AMD FX 8350 processor, 2 4gb sticks of corsair vengeance ddr3 ram and 2 2gb sticks of the same branding.  I do have a lot of peripherals: Logitech C902, G502, G510s, and G35. My case is the NZXT Guardian and I have 1 ssd and 1 hdd. I doubt that would take up 700w but I'm not an electrician so I have no clue.

If it's not power.

I went ahead and looked at the windows logs and here's what I found that could be of importance

8:27:25 Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

8:45:37 The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

8:45:49 The previous system shutdown at 2:51:05 PM on ‎9/‎6/‎2015 was unexpected.

8:45:51 The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) did not load:

dam

And that's all I know. I'm open to any ideas and appreciate any help given.

Thanks!
