How's that?

Only issue is no SSD, but that can be remedied with a simple flick of two £20 notes. And another £20 for 8GB of ram.

Holy fuck ive been looking on amazon for 3 days, where the hell did you find this thing? And are you referring to upgrading myself or is there an options or different models somewhere?

Well, I do a lot of building computers for people but sometimes people don't want a desktop. So when their requirements would be satisfied better by a laptop, I choose this one.

The joys of a business laptop mean that upgrading is easy and cheap, so if the battery lasts 6 hours instead of 8 (yes, 8 hours from this thing), then I can buy one for £20 rather than £120. If the motherboard is broken, it's cheap to replace, same with all of the parts.

In fact, I like it so much that I bought one for my sister in March, installed an SSD into it and off it went.

If you're not comfortable with upgrading it yourself, I believe there is a model with a 1TB Hard Drive and 8GB of ram but I would recommend doing it yourself. It always pays off having opened it up yourself and had a peek inside. Upgrading is easy too, most of the screws are the same size and if you loose one, you can buy more cheaply.

Just so you know. This notebook has only a resolution of 1366x768, so I don't know if that is good enough for you.

This notebook seems a lot more interesting.

It actually comes with a full HD screen, an SSHD and 8GB of RAM.

But it's only available in Germany. So you have to buy it there.

Ehh, it's £350, can't go wrong at that price. I'd say yeah if it was like £500 but you know.

I bought a similar notebook like the Toshiba that you posted for 260€.

But instead of that i5 it uses an i3-3110M. Still it gets the job done. Now it boots within 5 seconds after upgrading it :P

I'll be blunt, decent laptop great price, but that site looks extremely dodgy.

It isn't.

I use the german verson of skinflint (Geizhals) for over 3 years now and it's probably safer than buying on amazon.

You can see ratings of each shop if you don't trust the shops and you can also see what people wrote about those shops.

Check out Lenovo L440.

Bit expensive for my budget.

Guess I'll have to trust you.any more on that site with similar price and spec but in the UK?

You can customize it on Lenovo's site to get it for cheaper. I have it for my school. It's a very solid and reliable laptop.

For the lowest price it's going for £550 or so. It's got piss poor specs I'm every category. It's outdone vastly by the £350 laptop at the start of this.

I looked around. I didn't find anything that looked as good as this one.

The SSHD makes this one especially interesting.

But you can have a look for yourself on Skinflint.  :)

I really wish some of these people would make their sites look less dodgy, I see what skinflint is, it just directs you to other sites with good offers, but jeez some of those sites are really fucking dodgy looking. I wanna use them cos I am skint, but its risky as hell.

Nah, have a little trust. Most of those shops aren't that well known and can not pay for a good looking site.

And actually I have seen a lot more good looking fake sites than bad looking ones. Usually I buy from absolutly anywhere, but having a look at the agreements and stuff like that isn't a bad idea.

Also I would only pay with PayPal if you don't know the shop.
