i know it's a bit impossible but is there any way i can run an nvidia gpu (like gtx780) with an Amd gpu, not just for Physx. cause amd have things that nvidia don't, and the reverse. so is it possible that both amd and nvidaworks together to give better performance. the motherboard is asus maximus vii ranger

you would need to unplug your monitor into the other card to use it.

or have 2 monitors one plugged into each gpu

but 1 gpu at a time while playing.

Not at the same time, you would need to switch the monitors between the two cards if your intention is gaming. If you're after performance in other programs, then yes, you can use both at once.

P.s. AMD and Nvidia drivers sometimes conflict

Dx 12 it's apparently possible, but I would imagine they would want to stop it from happening. I think the devs have to specifically program it too.

Well I mean you could have them both in the PCI slots and just swap around your video cable to either the Nvidia card or the AMD Card...

If they do exist you could use a bridge of some sort and just flip a switch to change which graphics card you're using.

I heard DX12 should enable such combination but Nvidia will fight to prevent that because AMD has no money to argue against it.
