Witcher 3 frame drops

Hi guys

When playing witcher 3 my frames drop for 60 to 48 ish and causes stutter ,

However my house never exceed 80 percent when this happens and there's a small cup spike from 40 percent usage to 60,

If I stay in the area where the grams drop after about ten seconds they go up to 60

Is this the game? Sli issues ?

Do I need to overclock my cpu ?

Temps are good top card is at 79c and gpu never down clocks

And one card isn't enough for 4k

Lower the res - might be VRAM issues - 4K isn't really okay with 4GB

980tis 6gb and I have a few settings down so I should be ok on the vram

It's installed on my hdd maby that ?

Lower some of the settings like foliage distance and shadows perhaps, they impact performance a lot.

Turn hairworks off - that really kills performance.

One card I can play at 1440p 60 fps no problems

You could try this go into your control panel and manage 3d settings, global settings and change this setting: 

 

it was suggested when arkham knight was performaning like poop worth a shot or checking some of those settings to see if there is any more AA being added on top of what is already been done by the game itself.

4K isn't really an option for Ultra 60fps, sorry man

Well - not sure. Could be SLI - try rolling back drivers or updating them.

Seems all good now with the cards set to prefer Max performance
