Windows 10 Metro BROKEN, help!

everything metro in windows 10 just decided to break, the start menu, the action center, the cortana search bar, and all metro apps

 

HELP!!!

What do you mean by break?

i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo); ASrock Z87 EXTREME4; 8GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz; Asus DirectCU GTX 560; Super Flower Golden King 550 Platinum PSU;1TB Seagate Barracuda;Corsair 200r case.

They just will not open / work.

Restart

 

Happens to me sometimes..... but just the start menu, because I don't use metro apps or the cortana

I restarted countless times, i restarted win explorer and i booted in safe mode + more

HELP!!!

I have the same issues regularly but a reboot solves that but your problems seems to be bigger so I think a system restore or re-install can only fix that.

Sounds like someone decided to do a upgrade install of Windows instead of a clean install.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

If your HDD is not the boot drive, you can unplug that HDD, backup anything you need stored on your SSD and reinstall Windows. After reinstalling Windows, you can just plug back in your HDD and every thing will still be there. If you have programs installed on the HDD, you will have to reinstall them. 

 

Note: This is not the cleanest way as clutter could remain on your HDD.

There is no fix for most things like this. Most steam games do not open in windows 10 or open then stop responding. It is a common thing all over r/PCMasterRace and I have had it too.
