I'm thinking about upgrading my system.

My specs are:

Corsair PowerSupply (PSU) GS800 800W 80 PLUS Bronze
AMD Athlon II x4 620 2,6GHz
Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Hyundai Electronics Ram 8gb DDR3 667 MHz
Western Digital WD1001FALS-00J7B0 Hdd 1 Tb

Gigabyte gtx 460 1 Gb

I mostly use the system to play games. I've been looking at the GTX 950 strix from Asus and at the AMD Fx-8350 to upgrade my system with.

Do you have any other suggestions on any upgrade that are cheap, but still lets me get a decent performance in modern games?

Thank you!

So i should rather buy a new mobo and a i5 4460 then get a fx 8350? What arguments are there for the different cpus?

I would suggest getting the i5. You might see better performance when all 8 cores of the 8350 are actually used, but most of the time games will only use four. Therfore it makes much more sense to get the i5 with the higher IPC on those four cores. Also less power consumption, better upgrade path, newer platform, more flexibility in terms of motherboards and also motherboard sizes!!!!! (try finding a decent matx or even itx AMD mobo for AM3+)

Also than, not then. ;-)
