Hello all, I'm going to be buying a copy of windows 8 for my computer but can't decide between pro or standard. I'll be using the computer for gaming, school work, music & movies and interneting. So Is there any real benefit in going for pro over standard or should I just go standard and save some money.

Plus can anyone verify this for me. Is windows 8 system builder different from OEM, as in can it be installed on my computer and continued to be used if say I get a new motherboard. ( just getting confused by stuff in the Internet. I read something about MS changing licenceing agreements from windows 7 http://www.quietpc.com/windows8 )

Thanks :)

No its built but I've always questionable copies on windows. So I thought I would just get a proper copy. I heard that I may have to reformat my boot drive, is this true.

I'm not sure I don't have experience with questionable copies.

If you were using pirated versions prior to that, I would personally do a fresh installation of the OS. I doubt you HAVE to reformat but I would.

So in the link I have provided in the original post, would that be ok for a "fresh installation of the OS". Sorry if sound like an idiot right now, I'm just quite confused haha.
