Game Performance dropping for no reason...

Go to solution Solved by SirDucksallot,

Yeah I mean Gigabyte. Or you could just listen to @miku126 and wait for the 950 to release if you are planning on upgrading.

Alright,Ill contact em tommorow and get around it,thanks to everyone for the help.

Alright,I really hope someone here can help me out.It has been 2 weeks since performance in games has started dropping, for no reason.Ive tried the following:

1)Set PSU to Performance

2)Do a clean install of the latest drivers using DDU from 3DGuru

3)Checking RAM for inconsistancies with the WMDT(Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool)

4)Scanning for Malware and potential viruses that might be slowing down my system

5)Checked for HDD problems and incosistancies

6)Cleaned the computer as best as I could ensuring that everything is getting cooled properly

7)OC my card

8)Updated Chipset drivers

And as the last resort,I did a clean reinstall of Windows 7,and the problem still remains. Please,if anyone could help me I will a shrine for you.

FPS and stutter on games I havent experienced them before.

A basic example is CSGO,on maps like Dust 2 FPS is around 150 and sometimes every like 4 secs it drops bellow 100.

The OC may have caused this or it could also be a CPU bottleneck

The performance issues occured before I OC my card, that was one if the last fixes I attempted, and when I saw it made no diference,I restored it back to normal

Also, temps are at around 50-60 degrees celcius,Im from Greece and the weather is really hot here so I blame the temps at that.In the winter temps are always under 45.

How long have you been using this card?

Thats the problem, not even 10 months have passed until I got it!

The problem is highly likely to be caused by a cpu bottleneck.Or it could be a defect in the card that became worse during the 10 months and became noticeable. This is unlikely but still possible.

I was thinking it is the GPU too,but I never thought of the CPU bottlneck because its been running flawlessly for the past 9 months. What do you(or anyone reading)suggest?

im having a similar problem in garry's mod multiplayer where after playing for a few minutes i get looping audio when the game lags or momenterily freezes

Problem is,its not only Source games.Im experiencing FPS issues in other games I used to play flawlessly with no issues.

You should send it back to the manufacturer and it will be even better if there is warranty.

You mean the GPU?And Im still in the warranty yea

Thats good. Just send it back to the manufacturer and they will give you a replacement if it is defective and if it is not they will tell you how to solve the issue. And before you send them the GPU, give them a call and explain to them what had happened and it could be a simple fix.
