This seems like a nice thought out monitor, nice and wide (like Slicks mom :3). I can see it's potential use for gaming. oh whats this, 29'inch and extremely wide and only 1080p, really why not 1600p? It has a ratio of 21:9 and they went with that resolution. Potential wasted there, easily changeable for Asus if they can see their error hopefully.

I understand it already has a high price (400GBP) but if it had a better resolution, it wouldn't feel so much of a waste (couldn't think of a better word).

It would look really weird to have 2560x1600 on the monitor. Its completely the wrong shape. It would have to be more like 3840x1440. An even weirder resolution for that.

3840x1440 would probably fit it better. But 2560x1080 is no better than 2560x1600.

Its to do with the shape, You can't have a 16:10 resolution on a 21:9 monitor without everything tripping balls.

I suppose so. Real upsetting Asus didn't go for a bigger resolution. But then I haven't considered what games support 3840x1440, not that it matters since users could just use software like "Widescreen fixer".

Then Asus would have made a huge loss as there users would have has to install extra shit just to get the monitor working. And nobody wants that.

hello
