Need help with picking PSU

Hi, I'm new to building a pc and I'm completely lost on which psu to get. I went to a local Microcenter-like store and was told that I needed at least a 650W psu for the following build: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

 
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($202.95 @ SuperBiiz) 
Motherboard: Asus H97M-E Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($92.23 @ Newegg) 
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card  ($229.98 @ SuperBiiz)

Is a 650W psu a must for this build or can I run it with a lesser psu? Will the pc being in a warm room (80-90F / 28-32C) dictate which psu to get?

SeaSonic M12II Evo 520W is more than enough - that system uses around 350W under load.

EDIT: get an i5 4460 - better bang for the buck

but please no junky Evga or Corsair units, Maybe something good like a EVGA GS 550W or XFX XTR/Seasonic G :).

PCPartPicker TELLS you power usage. you're 363w. Just go over 363 to provide some overhead.

Basically this - avoid junk and even a 450W unit will be good :D

Eww no, No No No. Avoid Thermaltake.

Antec's High Current Gamer series is about the same in price and is far better.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Get the M12II Evo edition tho - the original had some issues here and there with DOA units - everything been fixed in the 2nd edition (evo) - and yes - that is worlds better
