Mouse/crashing issues

My computer has been acting up ever since i got back from my summer holiday. whenever i play a game my mouse will occationally lock up for 5 seconds or so until my entire computer freezes and i cant do anything forcing me to restart. This will continue to happen more often and sooner until it simply crashes in the os alone. i have all the latest drivers and i am running a g3258, a gtx 670 i have a gigabyte ga-h81m-s2pz that is second hand, 8gb of corsair ram and a 650 evga psu. if you need any more info ask me.
