On the other side,IPS panels have slower response time.

But put less strain on the eyes - with a TN panel I could barely get through 6 hours - now I've done a marathon of 34 hours and I didn't even feel eye strain

What's the difference between 16 or 8gb or ram? I mean I know the more the better but is 16 more ''future proof'' than 8?

currently - even 4GB is enough - 8GB is the sweetspot - 16GB is used under heavy workloads and demanding games @4k ultra settings

Do you need 16GB for your build? Here's the answer

Hello folks, I'm currently looking to build myself a new gaming pc, the one I currently have is too outdated at the moment to run games so I decided to build a new computer.

First off, I will need everything from monitor to OS, since I plan to keep the old machine for papework. I would like two monitors (No need of 120hz or 144hz) Size has to be 21 inches and above. It's been such a long time since I been building a pc  that i'm just way out of the loops of which parts is better and what not, so I need your help.

In term of budget I have a maximum of 1700 CAD with tax and shipping, I have no preferences for AMD or INTEL same for the GPU.

Just looking for your answers :)

Cheers, Robert.

EDIT: I won't need any mouse, since I have a good one :)

it's going to be hard for us to build you a part list with tax and shipping included. what is your tax rate?

Last question, would a 4.1Ghz- 4,3 Ghz be achievable with the PSU and cooler?

Well, just don't go too high above 1700 and it should be good, because 1700=1900 aprox with taxes.

which processor? I cannot guarantee anything since silicon lottery - if it's a "K" chip it will OC but honeslty - OCing an i5 is not worth for gaming - you won't see any improvement really. Hence why a 4460 and a 4690K perform about the same in most games - no game can really max them out

yes, that is a very conservative overclock with the 4690k

i have my 4670k overclocked to 4.6 ghz on the core and 4.5 ghz on the cache with a vcore of 1.30
