Hello everyone!

Being new in PC building I started a week ago with research. Now when I have some knowledge I decided to ask some questions that I am not sure in.

Firstly, what can I reuse from my old PC and still play games like GTA 5 or Witcher 3?

My old PC :

CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 620

RAM : 6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz

MOBO : Acer FRX780M (CPU 1) -> more info http://puu.sh/jZyys/dfd7b73f8e.png

GPU : 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6670 (Sapphire/PCPartner)

POWER : max wattage 450W, peak wattage 500W 80+ Bronze

Secondly, I cant decide between intel i5-4460 and a AMD FX-8320 8 core. Reading all the benchmarks I could find I firstly considered 4460, but now that Win10 came out with Dx12, which should get all out of AMD's 8 cores. Some even speculate that with Dx12 8320 could reach an i7 intel CPU performace.

Leaving these questions here and starting to research about MSI R7 370 vs Gigabyte R9 380 vs EVGA GTX 960.

I say you can try to put in a R9 380 and see if its playable on that CPU if not upgrade to a 860K or a i5! :)

Hello everyone!

Being new in PC building I started a week ago with research. Now when I have some knowledge I decided to ask some questions that I am not sure in.

Some even speculate that with Dx12 8320 could reach an i7 intel CPU performace.

Leaving these questions here and starting to research about MSI R7 370 vs Gigabyte R9 380 vs EVGA GTX 960.

You can get the following build for 688.46 EUR  , Not sure if its including shipping. I used http://www.hinnavaatlus.ee/ and the cheapest CPU , Motherboard and RAM are from pcsto.ee and the rest are from other vendors.

CPU - i5 4460

Motherboard - MSI H97 PC Mate

RAM - Crucial Ballistix 8GB (4x2) 1600mhz

GPU - MSI R9 380

Case - Fractal Define R5

Power Supply - Seasonic M12II 520W

And about your RAM , You multiply 533 by 2 = 1066mhz so I think you should buy new ones.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 12GB + Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero

Case: Asus ROG Strix Helios Gundam Edition Power Supply: Asus ROG Thor 850P

Why you added a CPU cooler if CPU will not be OC'd anyway? And as much as I know intel stock colers are OK.

And isn't 16 GB RAM a lil bit overkill for a budget machine?

No, 16 GB is NOT an overkill for any kind of machine these days. With many programs becoming more and more memory dependent, it's a good practice to have more memory than not enough.

AMD FX-8320 will NEVER outperform an i5-4460, even with Dx12.

Please don't let the AMD propaganda confuse you.
