960 is better but I'd also look at the r9-280/r9-280x

I am going to get a 750 Ti simply because its cheaper, but I would like to know what the performance difference is between an overclocked 750 ti and a normal 960. Would there be any difference at all? thanks!

960 is a more powerful option by a noticeable amount.

imo you could get a 760 and still get much better performance than a 750ti, and you can find 960s used for as low as like $100 if you're lucky.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Im using a 960 now, Its a decent card. Around 60 FPS in most games, and it's apparently awesome at overclocking:)

once again, not a AMD fan...

You don't need to be a fan to get a better bang-for-the-buck card. 380 beats a 960 in every possible way.

Bought a used 280X for 80$ once, also bought another used 280X for 140$, tomorrow I'm buying another used 280X for 120$, and a 280X outperforms a 960.

If you only want Nvidia, right now the value proposition of the 950 is the best, but the 370X is coming out soon, so, at that price point, please consider AMD, they have better options

AMD have alternatives that are as good or better in my experience.

A 960 is about 80% better then a 750ti, but a 380 is 20% better then a 960.

80% is a bit of an exaggeration.

its a bit more powerful than a 760 with power usage close to the 750 ti.
