My PSU making high pitch noise. It is as loud as normal talking. 1st time hearing it was in the morning while i turning off my fan. After unplugged it about 10 minutes then plug it in again the sound was gone. 2nd time hearing is that evening while browsing web. This time a tried unplug and plugged, it is still there. But after unplug it for a while, like 10 minutes as in the morning. And it gone.

Is it normal coil whine? Or my PSU is drying. I bought it just 2 day ago.

eww that power supply

Yeah, it's an El Cheapo power supply, get something of quality.

Welcome to the Fourms!

That PSU isn't the best, as for the high pitched noise it's most likely coil whine which is normal it can happen sometimes and can't be avoided.

Toughpower units are decent if you ask me - not really a cheap one. Well, not as cheap as other TT stuff :D

Coil whine - it happens - not dangerous.

Return the PSU as defective and get an EVGA Supernova G2 650 or 750. With that gpu without overclocking the cpu and without sli you don't need more.

From my experience TT are rather prone to coil whine - first my TT Smart SE, now his Toughpower - I guess they do skimp out on the glue adhesive.
