Wireless trouble...

Hey everyone,

So i could use some help here.

I have a netgear n900 router and im having some trouble with the 2.5ghz wireless.

So wired i get 92ish mb/s

Good

5.0ghz 15ft away gets 87ish mb/s

Good

But the 2.5ghz band gets no more than 25ish mb/s anywhere i test it.

Kind of a problem for my family since they stream netfilx on the other side of the house.

It was working fine for months on end but now it just droped a little bit ago. Also the 2.5 completely drops any speed at all periodically.

Ive rebooted the router and the modem (not that the modem would fix anything but still worth a shot)

I am wondering if something is interfering with it because some people just moved in next door, but im not sure.

Anyone have any ideas?

On your laptop ideally try downloading SSIDinsider it will show you all the wifi connections nearby and if there is a lot of traffic on your channels for 2.4Ghz, it can also be from other devices around the home which can adversely affect wifi.
