win 10 shutdown problem

hi there

 

most of the time when i want to shutdown my pc it wont. what it does is, wen i click shutdown it wil close everything and go to a black screen,

then immediately go back to my desktop. this is really annoying since i either need to shut it down trough cmd or with my power button.

 

someone has a fix for this ?

Turn off the Fast boot and check.

 

Right Click Start menu--> Power Options --> Select "Choose what the power buttons do" --> Then select "Change settings that are currently unavailable" Then at the bottom, under Shutdown settings untick the Turn on fast startup (recommended).

 

Then try to shutdown.

 

It will shutdown probably.

 

Use the system for like 3 days or so.

 

Then tick that option again.

 

You'll be able to shutdown properly.

 

It' weird.

 

It happened to me.

 

That is what I did. It fixed my problem.

Sounds like there's an app running in the background preventing your computer from shutting down. Are there any applications left in the taskbar, tray or in task manager after everything gets closed?

 

I'd also recommend opening Command Prompt as an administrator (right click in start menu) and running "sfc /scannow" to check for system file corruption.

 

It could also be an issue with fast boot as kameshss has said.
