XSPC AX240 Vs. EX240

Im looking at getting a XSPC kit with the d5 vario and I can get the AX240 and the EX240 for the same price and im just wondering which one is better as I will just be cooling my fx-6300 at the moment

The AX is there new performance one... the EX is their old one - but still very good. The EX is thicker, but XSPC claim the AX should perform at the level of the EX model. So, get what fits. :)  Personally, I would got with EX model...

Both are good options I have used the ex in the past and was quite pleased with the performance it had. I'm not sure so someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that ax has lower fan density while the ex is thicker. Both should perform about the same. You might search online for a performance review. I just did a quick search and didn't find anything relevant. best of luck with the build.

Yeah I did a search last night and it was saying that the ax was 40mm and the ex was 35mm. All im wondering is will there be a massive difference between them or unnoticeable. I know I will be getting an ex240 cross flow later for the roof of my case (nanoxia deep silence 1)

I will be using noctua nf-f12 fans on them as well so if that makes a difference

Also consider the fact that the AX radiators have removable shrouds, which is ideal for painting.

Yeah i have noticed that but i will be getting the black one and leaving it black. All i need to know is which one is better
