nVidia Thermal compound conductive?

Hi there, 

I got some of the default-GPU-thermal compound on some of those little things on my GPU (I forgot how they're called)

And wanted to know if I broke my GTX 980 or not...

If you can, clean it off. 

 

However, it shouldn't be conductive. My GPUs were a MESS when I took the stock coolers off them (TIM everywhere) and I hadn't had any issues before hand.

Nvidia's own compound is not conductive, but you should still try to carefully clean it to maintain a clean GPU.

But if you're planning to replace it (as it's necessary when you remove the cooler) you have to make sure the compound has zero conductivity.
