Rather dumb question

 I was watching a movie with VLC and had a virus scan in the background (routine thing) and I got a bit of corruption you could call but once I rewinded it was gone - checked my scan a bit latter and found it was slightly past the files - can the 2 be related? vid spazzing out when it got scanned?

or the GPU spazzing out I guess but I'm not sure how much of it is even used with VLC

Try scanning the VLC folder and see it happens then the folder the movie is in, for testing purposes though from a theoretical standpoint it will happen when scanning the VLC folder.

Try scanning the VLC folder and see it happens then the folder the movie is in, for testing purposes though from a theoretical standpoint it will happen when scanning the VLC folder.

Tried - nothing - the file is X264 so low quality and I've had files that are corrupted before but I couldn't reproduce it :o

Maybe the drivers folder inside System 32 and SystemWOW64.

Could be - lot's of possibilites - my card itself has been sort of wonky recently - long story really - maybe a combination of the things.
