hi guys iv got a stable clock on my 4790k of 4.7ghz, vcore 1.260, however i am only gaming atm is there any point in this overclock ? 
im going to add a second 980ti for sli will i have to oc then to run two 980tis or is the i7 4790k enough at stock ?

AMD (and proud) r7 1700 4ghz- 

also (1600) 

asus rog crosshairs vi hero x370-

MSI 980ti G6 1506mhz slix2 -

h110 pull - acer xb270hu 1440p -

 corsair 750D - corsair 16gb 2933

no, you really dont need to OC, but its free performance, so why not?

A 4790k is more then enough at 4.7GHz, I would try to bump it up to 4.8 or 4.9, You should be able to hit it fairly easy. 1.26 volts is nothing, I got some 1.365 volts running through mine with 4.9. my CPU is horrible with voltage

Nope, unless you render video and want to shave a minute off your 2 hour long render.

well if it's good temps at 1.26 it shouldn't really matter anyway, it's free performance.

Temps are 65 max at 4.7 but at stock max temp is 45 degrees

Also I only seem to be able to oc via turbo multiplier is that ok to do ?
