First Gaming Budget Rig!

chazat123

Hello, this is my first gaming BUDGET rig, so please be nice! Constructive criticism will be accepted!

I plan to do many upgrades when I have more money!

Specs:

Case: Coolermaster 430 Black Elite
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 BE Quad-Core 3.60 GHz 8MB Cache
HDD: 500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive x2
HDD: 160GB 7200RPM Hard Drive x1
HDD: 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive x1
RAM: 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3/1600MHz
Motherboard: MSI 760GM-E51 Entertainment Series
Video card: XFX Black Edition ATI 6870 1GB GDDR5

The Coolermaster 430 Elite is probably the best budget case!

The Side Panel Window shows you the main guts of your rig!

I know this was a bad decision; but I went for a semi-modular PSU for my first power supply!

In my opinion: an awesome budget gaming card!

Looking great. Put some work on the cable managment.

I have that same card, the cooler is super loud. I changed it to a Arctic Cooling cooler, check it out if it bothers you

The cooler is something that does bother me, and currently in the post is a new cooler :) Cable management will be worked on soon!

Looks great, a little cable management would be for the best but the rest is amazing! Nice work!

I have that same case and honestly, I'd have recommended 200R or even Antec 302, cable management is really hard in this case and almost impossible to do well  :(. Also CX500M is a really good choice for your first build.

I'd love to have such light in my case...did you only buy fans with LEDs or is there something more?

Looks cool although IMO the blue LEDs are overpowering all the other colours. But it's all down to personal preference I suppose

If possible I'd like to see the LED's toned down a little as they kinda look like they're washing out your components rather than showcasing them although that might just be how the camera sees them as cameras are often a bit iffy with blue and green LED's. Also If you can tidy those cables, airflow will be less obscured and you case will look less cluttered.

Other than that good job!
