PC will not stay powered on after BIOS update

Amazon have come up trumps and have sent a replacement motherboard to me!

Hi everyone,

 

In need of a bit of help here, I decided to go ahead and update my BIOS on my Asus X99-S, using the latest BIOS off the product page on Asus' website. I installed it onto a USB stick, and then went into my UEFI BIOS, from here I used the EZ BIOS update tool to update the BIOS, everything went fine, the process happened, and the end the computer prompted my it needed to automatically restart, to which I pressed Okay.

 

However after that the computer is unable to POST and turns off after around 5 seconds, the POST readout is 6F, which is a "System Agent DXE initialisation (System Agent module specific)" code.

 

I have been through the usual trouble shooting process of powering off etc. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re-flash the BIOS using USB BIOS Flashback.

First attempt is unsuccessful (using the latest BIOS), I am now trying again with the BIOS I started with.

Did you change anything to the system besides the BIOS? Anything?

You might want to try re-seating RAM and your video cards. It may even benefit you to remove the cards, start it, and seeing if anything changes. You won't be able to get a video output but you can at least see if the system can sustain operation.
