making a hotspot

s i bought a usb adapter and i have a big tower pc. the motherboard does not include wireless. so i need to help on making a hotspot trough the usb when i get my internett from a ethernet cable.

ive tried connectify and it does not work and ive tried making my own and it does not work. Does it work if you have a ethernet cable for the ''inn'' internet and usb adapter for ''out'' internet?

Maybe your wifi adapter doesn't support ad-hoc/host mode?
