Why when I try to change save locations it doesnt let me but for the other options it does?

And also how can make my fans not sound so loud? I tried to lower the speed in the bios but it wouldnt slow down or the noise wouldnt go down

For your first question, are you referring to saving files within an internet browser? And if so, which one are you using? (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Edge?) For your second one, it depends if you have 3-pin or 4-pin fans and fan-headers. It's not easy to change speeds of 3-pin fans.

Sorry I was not online for the entire afternoon. Got chinchillas to feed at the local animal shelter, Which browser are you running?

If you have three pin fans, you need to adjust voltage to them in the BIOS. If you have four pin fans, you can simply use some software to change their speed.

I've adjusted mine within the BIOS to 50% for case fans and min 15% for CPU fans. Nothing happened.

For Chrome you have to set it manually. So within your Chrome Browser, type chrome://settings and hit enter. You'll then be taken to the Settings menu for Chrome. On the very bottom, click Show Advanced Settings. This will give you access to Chrome's default location to store any files you choose to save when browsing the web using Chrome. Scroll to Downloads and it'll say Download location, on the right of it, click on Change and select the folder within your D: drive that you want your files to be saved to and then click Ok

Setting the default save locations within the Settings in Windows does not change the settings for Chrome. They are separate. I believe the one you were changing only applies to Microsoft Edge: the new browser for Windows 10.
